Eiko and Koma's Raven

An absolutely delightful Eiko and Koma lecture and performance last evening at the Miller Theatre, celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Columbia University's Donald Keene Center and Eiko and Koma's 40th Anniversary as one of dance's most sublime and conceptually powerful dancers and choreographers. They are offering a series of free performances throughout 2011 as an offering of gratitude for those who continue to discover them or will discover them by chance.

The New York premier of their Living Installation piece Naked will be performed at the Baryshnikov Art Center, March 29-April 9.

RS POP Shop

Melissa Gonzalez of RS POP Shop and the Roger Smith Hotel at 501 Lexington Avenue /51st Street, have created a wonderful boutique with a staple of well curated emerging artists and designers.

Delighted to stop in on opening night to discover Sanja Groic's "Street Couture from Slovenia to New York"  and Amparo3's Elegant street and evening wear with an artistic edge that makes fashion intellectually fun.  After a holiday season of being bombarded by great deals on run of the mill merchandise it's refreshing to come across the hidden jewels of these designers one of a kind pieces.  Through January 26, 2011.

Worth a pop in with a new event every month.
