ART for Japan at WAH

Life moves on: three months after the Japanese earthquake and Tsunami of March 11, 2011, the disaster is no longer headline news. Yet Japan still needs us: thousands are still missing and thousands more are still displaced and suffering. The Fukushima nuclear plant is not yet under control.

We believe that only sustained effort will help Japan recover. The WAH Center has therefore organized a team of volunteers, ARTISTS RESCUE TEAM for JAPAN (ART for JAPAN) and we hope the weekend of Friday, June 10th kick-off will be the first of more fundraising events in the future.

At the Not for Profit WAH Center (Williamsburg Art & Historical Center), we appeal to all of you who love art and care about Japan’s recovery to come out and support our benefit weekend.

The two-day event is a tremendous opportunity to buy an original work of art for under $200, meet the artists and enjoy a terrific program of fashion, dance and music, while savoring delicious international appetizers and cool drinks.

100 % of the proceeds will go to the Japan Society's "Japan Earthquake Relief Fund” We accept only checks or cash!
  • Discover your inner art collector without breaking the bank! Artworks for sale include painting, watercolor, drawing, print, photography, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, glasswork, jewelry, all under $200.
  • Must-see events: tickets for dance & music performances only $15

  • Many thanks and we look forward to seeing you and your friends,
