Friday morning gift from Edgar

Years ago someone told me about an old man walking along some strip of beach, picking up washed/upon the shore: one starfish after another and throwing them back into the receding surf. Someone told him: "There are millions of those, washed up all over the world. Do you think you can save them all? It's useless and so are you." And the old man, finding another, bent down to retrieve it. As he threw it back into the Inextinguishable, he answered, "To this fish, it is not useless nor therefore am I."
